About CAOHC
CAOHC was created in 1973 to fill the need for guidelines and standards in the occupational hearing conservation field. We are a non-profit association that certifies Audiometric Technicians working in industry through a prescribed curriculum conducted by certified Course Directors. Our certification period is five years. CAOHC is mentioned in the Federal Register 1910.95 as the educational standard and CAOHC certification is required for technicians working in the mining industry as indicated in the Mine Safety Health Act of 2000.
Mission: The mission of CAOHC is to promote the conservation of hearing by enhancing the quality of occupational hearing conservation programs by: providing education and information in occupational hearing conservation; providing standards and accreditation of personnel involved in occupational hearing conservation; promoting quality assurance of occupational hearing conservation programs; and promoting awareness and prevention of noise-induced hearing loss.

Constituency:
*Certified occupational hearing conservationists made up of 52% registered nurses; 22% medical assistants/technicians; and 26% other.
*42% conduct 100-499 audiometric tests annually.
*Certified course directors made up of 85% audiologist; 15% engineers, certified occupational health nurses, and others representative of the CPO organizations listed above.
*These course directors conducted 540 CAOHC courses in 2004 with almost 5,000 students certifying or recertifying.
*94% of our readership rated the UPDATE newsletter with high regard for informational content. The UPDATE newsletter is a benefit of CAOHC certification.

Editorial Statement & Rate Card
All advertising material submitted must be relative to the interests and needs of our constituency and subject to editorial review. Space sold on a first-come/first serve basis.
Full Page (8 ½ X 11): $ 2,000.00 per issue
Half Page (7 ½" x 5" horizontal) or (10" x 3 3/4" vertical): $ 1,100.00 per issue
Quarter Page (3 6/8" X 5"): $ 750.00 per issue
4% discount available on multiple issue ad placement (to qualify for multiple issue rate, ads do not have to be consecutive, but must fall within 3 consecutive issues).

Offset press – two color. Overall trim size 8 ½” x 11”. The UPDATE is a 2-color publication, PMS blue #301 and PMS orange #145. Ads will be one color.

Right reading; emulsion down negative
Screens: 150-line screen recommended, with a minimum 133-line
No bleed
Camera-ready text and glossy photographs or reproduction proofs required. Additional charges will be added for ads that are not at least 1200 dpi on coated paper or in film negative form.
No graphics from the Internet will be accepted due to low resolution.
Publisher is not responsible for advertising materials left unclaimed after a one-year period from the date of last insertion of said materials. Sorry, no commissions or agency discounts available on rates.
