CAOHC Announces New Executive Director

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eloiza Altoro-Acevedo as the new Executive Director of CAOHC. In this leadership role she will support and promote CAOHC's mission through providing administrative and operational oversight to all CAOHC programs and services. She will also provide support to CAOHC's leadership Council.

Eloiza Altoro-Acevedo holds a CAE (Certified Association Executive) and has over ten years of experience working with associations. Her career includes work with the Milwaukee Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence, the Mental Health Association of Wisconsin and most recently the Wisconsin Certification Board. As the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Certification Board, she was responsible for the administration of credentialing substance abuse counselors, prevention professionals and clinical supervisors for the State of Wisconsin. She also has an MS in Human Services, with an emphasis in management and organizational leadership.

The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) is an organization dedicated to the establishment and maintenance of training standards for those who safeguard hearing in the workplace. The Mission of CAOHC is to promote the conservation of hearing by enhancing the quality of occupational hearing conservation programs. CAOHC has been a leader in providing standards for occupational hearing conservation programs since its inception in 1973. Currently, there are over 21,000 CAOHC certified occupational hearing conservationists trained through CAOHC Course Directors to protect the hearing health of workers in industry and mining.
