What is a CAOHC Professional Supervisor?

The Professional Supervisor (PS) is the individual responsible for establishing policies for the audiometric testing program. In addition this individual is responsible for the

• Supervision of audiometric testing activities conducted by the Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC)
• Review of problem audiograms
• Determination of work-relatedness of employee hearing loss and recommendation of follow-up procedures
• Management of the audiometric database

Professional Supervisor Eligibility Requirements

Eligible participants include licensed physicians and audiologists. A copy of your state license must be included with your application. CAOHC also encourage general physicians who are practicing occupational medicine to take the course.
