Professional Supervisor of the Audiometric Monitoring Program© Course

Registration (a two-step process):

  1. Register for the full-day course on the WOEMA website here:
    You will need to create a login first. Then, once on the conference page, scroll down (second from the bottom) and select CAOHC Live course. The option to select it is underneath the course description. Course fee is $750.
  2. Register for the exam leading to certification by clicking on the green REGISTRATION link above. Exam fee is $225 newly certifying and $175 re-certifying. You must sign up for a course along with this exam (see step 1. above). Please note that while you are registering for the exam, you will also need to verify which course you have already registered for (It will appear like you are registering for it again, but you will just be verifying the course date and will not be charged for it in this step.)

Registration can be done in any order.

PS Workshop

The Professional Supervisor of the Audiometric Monitoring Program© (PS/A) Workshop is an intermediate-level, full-day course. It emphasizes the real-world application of audiology expertise as encountered in occupational settings.

Lectures review the current literature and practice guidelines. Instructors present employee case studies for participant problem-solving, critical thinking and small-group discussion.

Case presentations discuss PS responsibilities, guidelines for managing problem audiograms and determination of work-relatedness.


This workshop is intended for audiologists, physicians (MD, DO) and otolaryngologists who supervise and review audiometric testing from hearing loss prevention (HLP) programs.

Other hearing conservation-related professionals are also invited to participate in this course; however, are not eligible to take the certification exam.

Participants should have prior understanding of governmental regulations in and components of hearing loss prevention programs and interest, or experience in making work-related determinations for occupational noise-induced hearing loss.

Note: Pre-read assignments information will be emailed to each participant prior to the workshop. Workshop material will be provided through a computer link. For the course, please be prepared with a fully charged laptop as well as a backup power source.

Cancellation Policy

If registration is cancelled (2 weeks prior to the course) participant will receive a refund of their fee (-) a $150.00 processing fee. No refund will be granted for cancellations received after this date, however, the amount can be applied to a future course.

Continuing Education & Continuing Medical Education:

  • CMEs;  credit of 13 hours
    The AAFP has reviewed CAOHC Professional Supervisor Course, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 03/20/2022 to 05/05/2022. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1

The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of  0.7 (7 hours) CEUs. Advanced Level
