This course is only for current Professional Supervisors that have not expired, seeking to renew their PS/A certification. PS Course Description:

The Professional Supervisor of the Audiometric Monitoring Program© (PS/A) Course is an is an intermediate-level course. It emphasizes the real-world application of audiology expertise as encountered in occupational settings.

Whereas the live course is a full-day event, this is an abbreviated on-demand version for those recertifying and is broken up into sections allowing participants to study segments according to their own schedule. A 45-day limit is imposed from the start of the course to the completion of the exam.

Lectures review the current literature and practice guidelines. Case studies are provided for participant problem-solving, critical thinking and consideration. These cases emphasize PS responsibilities, guidelines for managing problem audiograms and determination of work-relatedness.

Time Commitment:

This course will take a minimum of 8 hours of work. CME credit is calculated as such:  2 hours, 14 minutes to complete introductory materials and 5 hours, 13 minutes to complete course work. There is a 45-day time limit to complete this course and exam. After 45 days the course will no longer be accessible.

Must be paid in full 7 days prior to workshop date.

Cancellation Policy:

If registration is cancelled prior to participant starting the event, participant will receive a full refund of their fee (-) a $150.00 processing fee.

No refund will be granted for cancellations received after the course has been started, however, the amount may be applied to a another CAOHC course.

The AAFP has reviewed CAOHC Professional Supervisor Course, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 04/01/2022 to 04/01/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
