Hearing Conservation Student Study Guide
The Hearing Conservation Student Study Guide© contains instructional information for the domains and tasks found in the Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) Standardized Exam Blueprint. Review of this guide has proven to increase exam performance in every instance this was measured. This guide was designed for both Course Directors (CDs) to help supplement their COHC course instruction and for COHCs to help them review for the Standardized Certification and Recertification Exam.
This student study guide was created by CAOHC’s OHC/CD Committee, a working group of active and highly experienced CDs. Although the group did not have access to any of the COHC standardized exam content, they did review the Job Task Analysis (JTA) and exam blueprint to provide both the CD and the aspiring COHC a measure of guidance and focus in preparation for the standardized exam.
Information in the student study guide is not presented in the exact sequence as the exam blueprint however, it does contain all of the domains and associated tasks. The CD can use this guide to supplement, rearrange or emphasize his or her lecture material with the information found in this guide.
The student study guide is available in both English and Spanish.
